By analyzing the sequence of nucleic acids, many biologists could figure out the complicated biological phenomenon occurring inner and outer cells. Currently, due to other distinct properties of nucleic acids such as programmability, the various binding capability and easy synthesis/modification, the nucleic acids have been utilized as tools to suggest possible ways to solve issues raised from other research fields. Representatively, DNA amplification method (PCR, exponential amplification) was combined with the regular ELISA to improve the sensitivity for antigen detection. Also, the specific antibodies modified with DNA were correctly addressed on the chip surface via specific DNA-DNA hybridization.
