AGAs are ambassadors of ฬวะฤAPP who actively interact and work with international students and participate in a variety of international activities to help the University globalize.
AGAs play leading roles in a wide range of on-campus events organized by the Office of International Affairs (OIA) and help international exchange professors and guests from sister schools overseas get to know the University better.
The main role of AGAs is to help international students adapt well to all aspects of social and academic life at the University as their buddies.
AGAs participate actively in events and activities for international students throughout the semester (including airport pickups, field trips, and culture-themed events).
AGAs also work to help the OIA plan and organize International Day festival, events at the Daedong Festival for international guests, Korean Movie Nights, and so forth.
AGAs receive guests and faculty members from sister schools abroad as well as other international guests, as part of the established protocol, and help them become familiar with the University.
AGAs play a leading role in promoting the University’s globalization programs.
The OIA selects 40 or so AGAs every semester based on candidates’ written activity plans, experiences with globalization programs, and linguistic abilities.
The OIA announces recruitment plans on bulletin boards throughout the campus toward the end of each semester. Candidates first undergo document-based screening and then in-person interviews.
AGAs undergo orientation and training, and begin their terms at the end of either February or August, before international students begin to arrive in Korea.
